Static Page Plugin Doesnt work for me with new geeklog..

Static PagesI tryed a couple of ways to do this but it doesnt work... I got geeklog 1.3.7 and tryed upgrading my static page plugin to 1.2 insted of 1.1 and it doesnt work :( I did exactly what the instructions say and it didnt work..

1) I made it unusable by uncheckign it in plugins.

2) I copyied the files from my zip file
a) staticpages/admin (in zip file) to /path/to/geeklog/public_html/admin/plugins/staticpages/

b) staticpages/public_html (in zip file) to /path/to/geeklog/public_html/staticpages/

3)Re-inable the Static Pages Plugin

And then I notice the plugin still says 1.1 which I thought was wierd.... So then I tryed making a static page it wouldnt let me it just game my a page error......

Then I tryed to delete the plugin and install a clean version of 1.2 and I hit install and I get this error The installation of the Static Pages plugin failed. Please see your Geeklog error.log file for diagnostic information .. Then I checked my error log and got this error "Tue 17 Dec 2002 05:32:23 PM EST - Someone has tried to illegally access the Static Pages install/uninstall page. User id: , Username: , IP: 192.168.1.15 "

Can some please help me.

It does work on geeklog 1.3.7 you might be confused with the numbering system. The original staticpages on which staticpages 1.2 was built was 1.1 the version in geeklog 1.3.6 and 1.3.7 is also 1.1 but that is not the same.

After you copied the files you have to run the install page to update the database for 1.2. The only time you don\'t run the install is when you had the original 1.1 installed -- you should have followed the procedure for a clean install of 1.3.6.

The correct upgrade procedure is this.

disable the plugin

copy the files

run the install.php

it works.

Oh yeah I forgot to add you have to be logged in as root to run the install program.

I'm not having any luck installing either. I get the same error as above. I
made sure I was logged in as admin, I untarred the
staticpages_1.2_1.3.6.tar.gz file in the plugins folder and copied all files
where they needed to go. It still get the above error. I am running
1.3.7sr1 also. I went back and reinstalled the original (backups are
always good) and it worked fine. I then just replaced the files that
needed it but still the same error. I always un-install a plugin before I do
any of this. Now this may be a stupid question but does the
staticpages_1.2_1.3.6 mean it's for GL-1.3.6 only?
