General News

If you haven't noticed, I just added the Chatterblock and Calendar block. I'm a big fan of both blocks, especially the Calendar block...makes it extremely easy to navigate directly to the newest content! The additions of these blocks has me thinking...what else would YOU our site visitors like to see? Help us help you...what blocks, hacks, or plugins would you like to see on this site? Are there any additional specific features you would like the Gplugs team to add? My goal here is to a) make the site more useful and b) showcase the efforts of the GL community...meaning show the code in action.

I have posted this at geeklog, I would like to see if a new function could be added to the calendar, I'm not a programmer, but someone who has learned enough to be dangerous.

If you are familiar with the palm software calendar, it allows you to add an event  Every "X" days. I'm a firefighter I work every third day.

I thought I would mention this but I understand if you don't want to tackle it.

I'd suggest installing the GL Forum plugin with the hack used at cweb.ws that adds "Start a forum thread" at the end of each story.

I also think that the story area should be left for the site content developers to their ideas, comments, etc... While the forum would be used for user questions.

...Just my opinion.

has anyone ever made a SETI@home block??

I think it would show the stats for the websites SETI@home group.

I think it would be cool anyhow. Just curious.

I LOVE the GL and appreciate all the hard work put into it.

cool

Vinny,

You have access you can do it yourself -- oops Danny already did it.

If you see something that should be changed or added -- do it.  Make it yours.
