Sourceforge has greatly expanded the number of rss feeds available.  Not only have they added new site wide rss feeds but have also added several rss feeds for each project.  There are two rss feeds you might be interested in for gplugs.

1)  Newest file releases

2) Project Summary

These newsfeeds and more are available for any sourceforge project you are following.  Just go to the View list of RSS feeds available for this project link on the summary page of any project.
